Flights

For flights, I will set up price alert notifications if I have a particular destination in mind to see if the cost of the flight drops. To get really cheap deals on flights I follow a couple of groups on social media for flight deals from my closest airport. This is a great option if you have flexible vacation plans and can book a flight immediately upon notification of a deal.

Skyscanner

This is a great website to find cheap flight deals on, especially if you don’t have a particular destination in mind and just want to scope out deals.

Google Flights

I use Google Flights to plan out my trips and estimated costs for flights, especially if I want to do open-jaw flights and fly into one destination and out of another or visit another country in between.

Accommodations

Booking

Booking is my go-to website to book accommodations. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with this company and love that you can find everything from hostels and hotels to apartments on Booking.

Tour Companies

GETYOURGUIDE

GetYourGuide is a great place to find tours to enhance your vacation. Everything from your traditional tours to extreme sports and getting a sneak peek into how locals live. It’s my go-to for European travel.

VIATOR

Viator is another great place to find tours or entry tickets. It’s especially great for North and South America tours.

Car Rentals

Discover Cars

If you are planning on renting a car for your vacation, Discover Cars is the perfect place to find a rental car. You can compare prices between multiple rental agencies and find the perfect car for your road trip.

While this is by the Canadian Government it will apply to most nationalities. It’s a really useful resource to check recommended vaccines, common scams, and any security concerns.
